Bjørn Riis is a Norwegian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer who rose from a little-known cover band to global success as a member of Airbag and as a solo artist.
The main songwriter for Airbag, a Norwegian band from Oslo, for nearly twenty years he shared the stage with bands and artists such as Marillion, Yes, Saga, Neil Morse, and Riverside.
He is a leading interpreter of contemporary progressive rock with an engaging and deeply moving style, brimming with emotion, expressed at times with disarming simplicity but also with great energy and complexity.
All his compositions are excellent, with a sound that draws influences and atmospheres from Pink Floyd and Steven Wilson, with a guitar-centric approach driven by Riis's own remarkable talent.
