Summit, by Seven Impale, 2023

Four extended tracks totaling about 44 minutes, with a very powerful sound and excellent vocals. The keyboards are fantastic. This is a great album.

This is their third album, released seven years after their previous one, and in my opinion, it surpasses their first two works.

A sound influenced by Van Der Graaf Generator and King Crimson, with strong jazz-rock fusion influences, creates something new:

Hunter, the album's standout track in my opinion, powerful and very intense, and two minutes from the end it almost becomes doom metal, with dark sounds, slow rhythms, and powerful kick drums. There are fast riffs and an excellent organ. A great piece.
"Hydra," which has spectacular bass and very fast riffs, great sax and piano. Beautiful atmosphere. A beautiful piece.
"Ikaros," is a beautiful piece with distorted guitar and a triumph of sax.
"Sisyphus," with beautiful vocals and organ.

A masterpiece of modern progressive rock, recommended for those interested in the evolution of progressive rock without explicit references to the '70s, but without rejecting its legacy either.

A must-see, without a doubt.

The Tracks

1. Hunter (10:33)

2. Hydra (10:34)

3. Ikaros (9:26)

4. Sisyphus (13:22)

Running Time: 43:55
