Neu! 2, the second album by German duo Neu!, released in 1973, is a great Kosmische Musik (Krautrock) album, produced on a shoestring budget and in a very short time.
Due to a lack of funds to complete the album, they decided to reuse two previously recorded tracks ("Super" and "Neueschnee"), playing them at different speeds and deliberately modifying the recording of the tracks.
The result is something halfway between the invention of remixing and pure provocation, placing the band alongside their contemporaries and equally experimental Faust.
It's worth remembering that this band paved the way for bands like Joy Division and Stereolab to follow over the years.
This album is considered by many to be the "minor" of the '70s trilogy, which began with "Neu!" and ended with "Neu! '75," and is much more frenetic compared to the first.
Nonetheless, for me, it's a great album.
