Are you Sitting Comfortably? by IQ, from 1989
This is probably IQ's most pop-oriented album, with Menel on lead vocals, reminiscent of their previous album, “Nomzamo”. This album doesn't feature purely progressive tracks, but rather catchy songs and sunny compositions. Menel's vocals are truly beautiful throughout.
The popiest tracks are "Drive On," "Sold On You," and "Through My Fingers," while the more progressive ones are "Nostalgia" and "Wurensh."
The drums, though less elaborate, are still excellent. Despite the pop aspect, which may not be to everyone's taste, the songs are very well crafted, as this band has become accustomed to, and the quality is consistently top-notch.
As a fan of IQ, I also recommend this album to complete your collection.
