Live in Europe 2023, by  The Flower Kings 2024 album

The Flower Kings are a Swedish progressive rock band formed in 1994 by guitarist Roine Stolt. The band originated from Stolt's 1994 solo project, The Flower King, and evolved into a band that has produced numerous albums in a symphonic rock style, featuring many tempo changes and polyrhythms, sweeping bass lines, beautiful vocal harmonies, and generally long songs, as well as beautiful prog suites.

This album is a live recording from the Netherlands in October 2023, at the end of an extensive European tour, playing classical repertoire and giving each member plenty of room for virtuosity.

The touring lineup included Roine Stolt, Hasse Fröberg, Michael Stolt, Mirko DeMaio, and Lalle Larsson.

The setlist includes a medley from their 1995 debut album, Back in the World of Adventures.
It also features more recent tracks from their 2023 studio album, Look at You Now, such as "The Dream," and the epic 30-minute "Stardust We Are," which closes the album.
The live versions of the songs have improved; "The Dream" has been extended to double its original length, while classics like "Stardust We Are" have different, more exciting arrangements.

The recording is audiophile-quality, and the recording was made at the mixing desk during a single concert. The final mix was by Roine Stolt, with great quality and clarity.

This band is capable of revitalizing '70s progressive music, and they always bring something extra to the table live. I hope to see them in concert someday. Beautiful!
