“Storia di un minuto”, the debut album by the immense Premiata Forneria Marconi, from 1972.

An album that, together with Per Un Amico, fully belongs in the pantheon of the most beautiful progressive rock albums ever, and not only in Italian progressive rock, but in prog overall.

A turning point in Italian music thanks to its technical and innovative quality in progressive rock, due to the complexity of the compositions, the alternation between more intimate moments and more powerful ones, and the emotional impact the record had on listeners and critics, marking the start of a new era.

Also thanks to this album, PFM became one of the most important bands on the Italian and international scene, and this album is considered essential for their career and for the development of the genre in Italy.

The record became a benchmark, introducing a new level of complexity and a sonic exploration that influenced many artists.

Tracks like "Impressioni di settembre" show PFM’s ability to alternate more delicate passages, such as the piano, with more powerful and dramatic moments, with echoes of theatrical or marching-band atmospheres.

An outstanding debut, with absolutely huge tracks for a first work, including the very well-known E' Festa, but not only.

A gem of Italian progressive that contains some of PFM’s best tracks, full of great pieces performed with absolute mastery.

A masterpiece without any doubt. Acoustic guitar, flute, Moog and Mellotron, violin. Everything fused in a fantastic way, with magical atmospheres.

Impressioni di Settembre is in itself a masterpiece of ’70s prog.

A short but intense album with a sound that still feels current. A must-have in any collection.
