Genesis, Live at Knebworth 1990 by Genesis, released in 2021, 45 RPM with the live tracks "Mama" on one side and "Turn It on Again (Medley)" on the other, featuring Genesis-performed and sung tracks such as "Turn It On Again," "Everybody Needs Somebody To Love," "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," "Twist & Shout," "Reach Out I'll Be There," "You've Lost That Loving Feeling," "Pinball Wizard," and "In the Midnight Hour."
The 1990 Knebworth concert was a benefit for Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy and the Brit School for Performing Arts, and many other bands performed at the event, including Pink Floyd, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, all of them for free.
Genesis performed a medley of "Turn It on Again" and other rock classics in an overall performance that isn't memorable. However, it's an excellent live recording, with excellent sound quality. It's an easy-listening album from a Genesis period that I don't particularly enjoy, but given the greatness of the musicians, it's always a pleasure to listen to. In this case, we're talking about great pop music, and I have to say that "Mama" is undoubtedly a truly impressive piece in this live version.
For Genesis fans looking to complete their collection.
