Timewind by Klaus Schulze, released in 1975

Klaus Schulze was a German pioneer of electronic music with a remarkable solo career, releasing over 60 albums over six decades. A composer, musician, and producer, he was known for his mastery of electronic instruments and his unique sound, which influenced the music of his time and beyond. He sadly passed away in 2022.

He initially played guitar and bass before becoming a drummer for several bands.

He was a member of Tangerine Dream on the 1970 album Electronic Meditation and was a member of Ash Ra Tempel and Cosmic Jokers.
His solo career was a constant evolution, keeping pace with technological advances, from the first analog synthesizers to digital synthesizers and more recent software synthesizers, even incorporating vocal and instrument samples into his music.
He was instrumental in the development of electronic music and can be considered its "inventor."

This album is dedicated (as the cover says) to the composer Richard Wagner and is one of his finest.

It consists of two tracks. The first, "Bayreuth Return," is characterized by a continuous sound that rises and falls in pitch and sequenced sounds that alternate with more relaxed or tense atmospheres. The second, "Wahnfried 1883," features keyboards that overlap with a melody throughout the song, creating the sensation of musical slow motion.

It's an album with a sound that's at times disturbing, at times ethereal and dreamy, a masterpiece for lovers of electronic and experimental music.
